I had the most peaceful dream last night. I will try to recapture the essence of it here for you.
You
called on the phone and we had a wonderful conversation that went
something like this: thank you for the inheritance you have given me.
The inheritance of faith, the inheritance of activity in the church,
the inheritance of testimony, the inheritance of love, the inheritance
of generosity, the inheritance of service, the inheritance of
compassion, the inheritance of trying, perseverance, the inheritance of
leaving things better than you found it, the inheritance of beauty, the
inheritance of sociality, the inheritance of hospitality, the
inheritance of a mother's heart.... These things are mine and are mine
to give and to see perpetuated on for generations. I see these things
in my daughters, things you gave me and I have passed on. Thank you for
the inheritance you have given me that can't be taken away. An
inheritance that continues and multiplies through the generations.
You are a wonderful mother, as they say of the king in The King and I. You are a woman who tried.
Thank
you for putting your whole heart into life. I am thankful I have had
such a mother as you. I love you. It was a wonderful dream and now I
pass it back to you with gratitude for the mother you are. Happy dreams
to you. Love Teresa
