We are in Manila at Sister Jan Jones apartment right now. We flew
in yesterday and spent the day with Jan and her sister. The place where
they live in Queson City is way different from our experience in Iloilo.
Her apartment is on the 30th floor and is a really nice apartment and
there is great shopping in the area to walk around. It feels like a
large city in America.
We attended church in the Ward
where Jan goes and found that we had a lot of connections with people
who have friends in Iloilo or served missions there or something else. (
the church makes the world pretty small.)
On Monday
we will go to the place where the Temple is and the MTC and office
buildings are. We will visit people we know who are there. When the day
is over we will go to a Hotel that is close to the airport so that we
can head home on Tuesday morning .
We
have had so many people who wanted to get with us before we left
Iloilo. People wanted to have a dinner for us or give us some gift. We
are really going to miss these people. Sometimes I wonder why they are
all so nice to us. I feel like if we do not see them again in this life,
we will certainly get together with them in the next life, in Heavenly
Fathers kingdom. (It is great to have something to look forward to.)
I love you.
Love, Dad
