We are in the best situation of our lives for Christmas! Andrew John is
Elder Robinson in Concepcion, Chile, Charity is Sister Robinson IV), in
Sacramento, California Mission and we are Elder and Sister Robinson in
Iloilo, Philippines Mission. The four of us are having warm
Christmases. The day will come to us first since we are always living
in the future as we look at the world clocks.
We had a Christmas party with the younger missionaries last night and
again tonight. We enjoy the associations with them, but find it really
sad when they take part of our hearts with them as a batch leaves every
six weeks, but we do get the last word with them as we get to have them
for four hours before they leave to go home to do a career workshop with
them to serve them in getting jobs as they arrive home for the rest of
their lives. We do mock job interviews, help them build thirty second
power statements about themselves, teach them a little about writing
resumes that are good advertisements of themselves, and have some fun
with them.
We also start the wards and stakes who have invited us to have My Path
devotionals so the Filipino people can either choose to take a course
in Starting and Growing MY OWN Business, Education for a Better Job, or
Job Search. It is an amazing initiative for these people from the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by revelation from our
Father in Heaven through His appointed servants.
What a great blessing to be a member of His Church and to have an
opportunity to serve a full-time mission for Him to whom we owe
everything! And then we serve and discover that once again we are the
receivers. We love the people here and we continue to love and pray for
each of you, Love Elder and Sister Robinson
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
